SMeet Mini Apps

Changelog

Every change of the SDK, the bridge and the author API is recorded here, newest first. The bridge is described by bridge.schema.json, the author API by openapi.json.

How changes are recorded#

  • A released SDK build never changes. A fix is a new version, smeet-mini-apps-1.0.1.js; the aliases smeet-mini-apps-1.js and smeet-mini-apps-1.esm.js move to the newest 1.x (Files and addresses).
  • Within version 1 of the bridge and of /mini-app-api/v1, SMeet adds: new methods, events and fields, new values of reason and status, new error codes. Pages and servers ignore what they do not know. Something that could break a working app gets a new major version.
  • Each entry gives the date and the versions and lists what is new, what was fixed, what is deprecated and what an author has to change.
  • The machine-readable descriptions of the current versions are bridge.schema.json and openapi.json. Each describes the current version exactly and, within a major version, only grows (The bridge).

SDK 1.0.0, bridge 1, author API 1.0.0#

The first version of SMeet Mini Apps. Released together with Bot API 1.2.0; the date is added on release.

New#

  • The SDK smeet-mini-apps-1.0.0.js (a classic script with the global SMeetMiniApp) and smeet-mini-apps-1.0.0.esm.js (an ES module with the same exports), with the aliases smeet-mini-apps-1.js and smeet-mini-apps-1.esm.js of the newest 1.x (SDK).
  • connect(), the environment, ready(), authorize() with PKCE S256, submitToBot() with the person's confirmation, getSubmissionStatus(), openExternalLink(), setBackHandler(), setClosingConfirmation(), close(), and the events of the theme, the viewport, the visibility and the language (Methods).
  • The bridge, version 1: the handshake in web, the smeet handler on iOS and macOS, and bridge.schema.json, the JSON Schema of every message (The bridge).
  • The author API /mini-app-api/v1: exchangeLaunchCode, checkSession, revokeSession, with keys per environment (API reference).
  • In Bot API 1.2.0: the mini_app button and the mini_app_submission update (Mini Apps in the Bot API).
  • Diagnostics of the owner in My bots: seven UTC days of openings, readiness, logins, results and refusals by code, for each version (Diagnostics).
  • The icon of a published Mini App of SMeet's public space for everyone, signed in or not, at /graphql/image-thumbnails/mini-app-icons/<appId>/<size>, shown in the catalog (The icon in the catalog).
  • Limits the platform may set for one Mini App or for all Mini Apps of one owner, and the defaults of an installation (Limits).
  • A report on a Mini App from its bot's profile, besides the menu of its window (Reporting an app).
